Ran 100 hours of continuous cohort-based learning across eleven countries and nine times zones.
Built tailored onboarding plan and pathways for role specific ramping
Created custom 3-12 hour courses in data analysis for business and government clients.
This was designed for a company that needed to introduce the teams of a department to new hires.
Needs analysis indicated that new hires were often confused by the structure and responsibilities of each area.
Designed with Elucidat (similar product to Articulate Rise).
Created a free, branching statistical learning site using HTML coding in a WordPress site.
Achieved 194K views in the past year.
This was created as an open access model to share statistics and Excel curriculum materials I designed and developed.
I have experience driving digital accessibility standards in my design and strategy experiences. Following WCAG principles I ensure all training is designed to be perceivable, operable, understandable, robust. I have designed and taught online courses for deaf-blind learners and focus all of my design on inclusivity and accessibility. Beyond providing the necessary functionality to learners to be able to interact with courses in a way that ensures each learner has an equal opportunity to engage with the content, I also focus on ways to create materials that enhance the learning for all.
For example, I always include learning content in multiple formats. If a video is provided, closed captioning or a trascript is always provided. However, I also provide either a summary, a companion document, or some other printed version of the materials as well. This ensures that learning meets accessibility standards for being screen reader compatible, but also that it provides learning in multiple formats to address not only learners who are visually impaired, but those who may be sensitive to noise or on screen movement. It also supports learning prefereneces as some learners may prefer to engage with content that is printed, while others prefer to listen and still others prefer to watch. By providing information in multiple formats, learners can engage in the way that best supports their specific learning needs, to ensure maximum engagement and transfer.
Experience developing skills-based, multimodal learning experiences, delivered through Learning Management Systems and Learning Experience Platforms. Advance through the slides below for examples.
Led training needs analysis with VP and senior directors to determine unit needs. Coordinated timeline, evaluated previous barriers to success with training for team, and created a plan to address issues. One-month lead time to execution.
Challenges: Global team in nine time zones and eleven countries. Previously poor engagement and reviews on training. Differences in ratings of training quality frequent between regions.
After evaluation, created learning objectives: build understanding of current product ecosystem; equip and upskill the team in having more strategic conversations with counterparts across the business; foster a culture of learning and development; demonstrate an investment in developing skills and talent within the team; impact pulse survey data.
Created Asana project management plan. Assigned team members to tasks and deadlines.
Decided on flipped model (synchronous VILT/asynchronous self-paced) to address time zone differentials and previous lack of engagement. Live sessions were fully interactive with only application-based activities to increase accountability for asynchronous learning.
Learning was cohort-based, with team members interacting in breakout rooms and working together to achieve goals.
Created Degreed plan and daily pathways, live session slides, training agendas, and recordings template.
Due to lead time, asynchronous training materials were repurposed from sales materials, with adaptations to align with team. Worked with content development teams across org to align content to needs and built learning materials in hierarchy from introductory to advanced, aligning with business model organization.
For live sessions, worked with SMEs (Senior Directors on team) to design each session. Content was aligned both to daily workflow and identified gaps. Trainings included: a learning expectations session, a product pitch activity for engagement, a global panel with product teams, an escape room, and several scenario-based sessions where learners applied their training knowledge to situations common among employees.
Degreed (LXP), LMS, Zoom, Google Suite, Jamboard, Canva, Camtasia
Deliverable: 100 hours of continuous cohort-based learning across 11 countries and 9 time zones.
Completion rates were high, despite a weather emergency that affected about 10% of team for final two days.
Engagement during live sessions was high, and 87% of written responses mentioned this was participants favorite part of the training.
"[I enjoyed] The topic and relevance to everyday work. No time wasted on irrelevant material."
"Thanks for running an awesome training (prob one of, if not the best in my 7 years at [company]!)"
Designed and implemented Qualtrics survey for team. Results from my analysis are included in the summary deck to the right.
Using Kirkpatrick Model the Level 1 results were: Achieved 8.9/10 satisfaction rating with 97% agreement that participants could apply learning into workflow and 95% agreement that the training was relevant to their role. Consistent satisfaction across all regions.
Level 2 results: 100% completion of embedded scored assessments in asynchronous materials.
Level 3 results: Manager feedback/review pending.
Level 4 results: Pending biannual pulse survey data.
